A Message From the Site’s Creator:

Growing up in Brooklyn I was very much spoiled with street ball. On most days it wasn't difficult to find a game and no matter where you lived there were a few playgrounds nearby that usually had some action. Even so, my friends and I would frequent the same places on a weekly basis, playing the same people, and going at the same times. Being the competitive guy I was I'd head out to other playgrounds off the normal route, but there was the issue. I didn't know where all these places were, I didn't know if the kids playing there were any good, and I had no clue what time they liked to play there. Can't tell you how many days I spent riding around park to park trying to find a decent game. From this, the concept of Rep Your Court was born. Originally conceived as a way to organize games I quickly began seeing the potential to build something greater. As technology progressed it became abundantly clear that this tool would have its foundation in social networking. Rep Your Court connects players with everything they need to ball. You want to find other players to link up with on the concrete, we've got that. You want to find courts no matter where you are, we've got the most comprehensive collection of courts in North America and we're expanding more and more every day. You want to find leagues, tournaments, camps and more, we've got that for you. Rep Your Court strives to unite the basketball playing community like no other medium has before. If you've read this much, you owe it to yourself to sign up, and check it out for yourself. We welcome all feedback and most of all as a member we have 2 rules for you: Rep Your Court and Rep your area. Put your hood on the map and let the world know where the ballers are at!

RepYourCourt Features:

  • An integrated court location system (map and search/finder) that allows a user to filter by location, indoor/outdoor, number of courts, shared media, court size, and other amenities and information. Most importantly this system is updated and kept current by players like yourself so if a court is missing or has inaccurate information you have the power to add or update it in the database.
  • Court profiles where users can rank and review the court, view and upload media, add/update information, find nearby courts, see what the weather is going to be like, and discover and communicate with other players who have identified the court as a location they have played at.
  • A homecourt system that allows users to identify 3 courts they play at most frequently. Players’ rankings (as given from other users) are then stacked and the highest rated player is crowned king of the court.
  • An event search system that allows users to locate leagues, tournaments, camps by location, age group, ranking, and gender. (Please be patient as we onboard event administrators to list their events here. If you run an event or know someone who does be sure to check out the registration section to learn more about event promotion and establishing a listing.)
  • A player search system allowing players to locate others through various search options including location, name, age, gender, school, position, and a linkage to the courts they play on.
  • An invite system allowing users to instantly create one-time or recurring invites to send to friends on the site as well as external players via email. This system automates sending out invitations at pre-defined intervals and has advanced features such as capping the number of players who can accept, dynamic waiting lists which update as players change their attendance response, and the ability to link a court to the invite.
  • A Team/Group function that allows users to search for, join, or create a group for players with similar interests or skillsets. Teams can communicate and share content within the group allowing for team collaboration. (Great for actual coaches and teams to share instructional tips, videos, and media in between coaching sessions.)
  • A forum and articles section to keep up with the latest basketball trends and merchandise including reviews and discussion boards for users to express their candid opinions.
  • And lastly, be sure use the feedback link on the right hand side of the page to let us know how we’re doing and what we need to do be better. All feedback is welcome!
